As part of our university's 50th anniversary activities, a conference titled "The World Gaining Meaning with Science" was organized by the Chemistry Department of our Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.

As part of our university's 50th anniversary celebrations, the Chemistry Department of our Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine organized a conference titled "A World Gaining Meaning Through Science."
Held in the Prof. Dr. Mustafa Temizer Conference Hall, the conference was attended by Prof. Dr. Hasan Bulut, Dean of the Faculty of Science; Prof. Dr. Kazım Şahin, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine; Prof. Dr. Kadir Demirelli, Head of the Chemistry Department; academics and students.

Prof. Dr. Bekir Salih, a Council Member of the Turkish Academy of Sciences (TUBA), spoke at the conference and presented on Modern Mass Spectrometry-Based Proteomic Applications: Post-Translational Modifications, Mass Spectrometric Imaging, and Size Determination of Biomolecules by Ion Mobility Mass Spectrometry. He emphasized the importance of nearly all mass spectrometric methods, particularly MALDI-MS, ESI-MS, IM-MS, and MALDI imaging, for both basic and health sciences.
